one of the greatest parts of being a Sweat Pink ambassador is learning about the amazing women world wide that make up this group.
like Katie – blogger, dietician, runner, momma, and creator of BAMR Bands.
oh ya, that stands for Bad Ass Mother Runner. they are 7/8 inch non-slip fitness (and fashion) headbands for a cause. one dollar from every headband purchased goes to the charity Every Mother Counts – a charity aiming to “end preventable deaths caused by pregnancy and childbirth around the world. Every Mother Counts informs, engages, and mobilizes new audiences to take action to improve the health and well-being of girls and women worldwide.”
that’s definitely something i can get behind.
plus, look how cute they are:
i took my black and white chevron print band out for a spin on saturday to yoga and out for errands.
during 75 minutes of sweat it stayed in place thanks to the velvet ribbon backing that gripped on to my hair. at least someone about that workout was cute (the headband) as i’ve never been one to look adorable when exercising – my face goes red, i get all sweaty, my hair, piled high on my head, goes crazy.
it also looked pretty when i let my wild mop free. no one would know it was a “fitness” headband; much more attractive than my usual large cotton/spandex lulu headband.

how do you keep your hair in place during a workout?
