a double scoop of happiness.

all it took was seeing one beautiful instagram photo and i added earnest ice cream to the must-visit list for the first leg of sister trip 2014 in vancouver.

when i travel, i love to find the little hidden gems in the city i’m discovering. so maybe this one isn’t exactly hidden – it seems to be a favourite for the locals – this delicious ice cream shop specializing in small batch flavours is tucked between a few other restaurants aside rows of houses.

the simple and clean decor is a continuation of their philosophy for the ice cream. a base of local milk, cream and eggs is enhanced with whole food ingredients so you know what’s in every scoop. mix in passion, curiosity and seasonal inspiration and you’re left with pretty delicious ice cream.

after sampling a few flavours i opted for a double scoop of salted caramel and london fog (duh, from the earl grey fanatic) in a waffle cone.

how do you find places to visit when you travel?

instead of costing you cash, your vacation could make you some money. flying out of SFO any time soon? check out turo (formerly RelayRides) airport parking. why pay for parking when you can park for free and maybe even profit? they’ll take care of renting out your car while you’re away. if it’s not used, it costs you nothing, if it is used, you get money for it.
