i never thought i had much of a sweet tooth. that was until i got to taste really good chocolate from local chocolatier Cococo Chocolatiers. game over.
now i try to pretend there isn’t a retail store two blocks down the street from my condo, or else things could get really messy. i also live across from a doughnut shop i pretend is always closed. life is hard.
with father’s day coming up, wouldn’t dad appreciate a more unique gift than a tie or a mug? why are dad’s the hardest to buy for? this year i suggest you pair some of his favourite things with delicious chocolate.
well…except for my dad. because he is diabetic. instead Papa B is getting photos of me eating chocolates. and maybe something real. i’ll leave that up to sister. she’s slightly less cruel than i am.
here are some of my gift ideas:
wino: icewine truffles + a great bottle of red.
semi-sweet chocolate is filled with authentic canadian icewine. it’s common to enjoy a glass of wine and a bite of chocolate – this way you can cut out a step…or keep the two but double the wine intake.
stampeders: a chocolate cowboy hat or horseshoe + tickets to the calgary stampede.
the greatest outdoor show on earth is just two weeks after father’s day, so if you’re close to calgary you’ll probably end up there. since the gift is redeemable in the future, pair it with a chocolate hat or horseshoe for some instant gratification.
bull riders: habanero sea salt chocolate bars (my fav!) + rodeo final tickets.
only the brave may apply! get a little spicy and count down from 8 to see if you can hold on; this chocolate bar kicks.
