i don’t think anyone around here is going to question my love for ice cream. it’s really real. it’s intense. me + ice cream = true love.
when i found out Sobeys is engaging the community through ice cream, i got on board right away.
on saturday, june 24 you can visit a participating Sobeys, Safeway or IGA to purchase some tasty ice cream for a small donation of $2 (or any greater amount that you’d like).
the second best part (ice cream is always #1) is that 100% of funds raised go directly to local youth organizations, helping to provide healthy snacks and meals for kids in your community, with Sobeys matching donations up to $100,000 out here in the west. in calgary the donations will support the boys & girls club.
be part of the #treatyourcommunity movement. make sure to check out the hashtag on the 24 to see all the fun in-store as Canadians come together to share an ice cream. i’m counting on a lot of smiles. you can catch it all on Sobeys’s twitter or instagram.
i’ll be picking up my treat at the downtown location if you want to join me. while i’m not one to share my ice cream, i definitely like company that enjoys their own.
to get in on the fun and community spirit, i teamed up with Sobeys to give one s&s reader a $50 Sobeys/Safeway/IGA gift card. enter below – don’t forget to leave a comment – and a winner will be selected wednesday, june 28.
you can thank Sobeys Inc. for the ice cream and for making this blog post possible.
